Attaching an AP Invoice on the Invoice Tab

    In addition to the Memo Maintenance and Instadocs functionality, is there a way to attach an invoice on invoice when going to the Invoices tab in AP Maintenance or AP Inquiry?

    We used to do this with a UDF that held the path of the pdf, but it's been too long for my memory.  @Michael Davis do you remember this?​

    Offtopic but Sage AP Automation ( Beanworks ) does a nice job of capturing and saving this info electronically

    Yes, I mentioned Sage AP Automation also.  That may be down the road for them.

    @Wayne Schulz unless I am mistaken the information in BeanWorks cannot be access from within the Sage invoice or AP Vendor maintenance can it?  It requires an open browser and separate search within that app?  DocLink provides the button directly within the AP vendor invoice panel which is nice. (albeit pricey).   ​

    You’re correct. The invoice data is saved outside of Sage. It also seems like this would lock you into continuing to use AP automation unless you were able to download those documents which we know the vendors usually allow though typically not easily.

    Anyhow, the feedback on AP automation has been good and it seems less expensive and easier to set up than Altec for smaller companies.

    I've doing this for about 15 years now.  Works very well.  Click on the PDF button and instantly see the original documentation.

    Your memory is good. We are doing the same thing that Jeff talked about. A simple custom office script that points/ open the saved PDF on the network.
