At Sage Cross Sell meeting in Atlanta. Seems pretty well attended by Sage and partners. Thought I would start the discussion now. Rah rah from Doug Meyer and Joe Carroll

You mean Doug LaBahn ? I am very interested in what's discussed here though I suspect it's going to be more of the same pushing of the top add-ons.

No this is the pre-smposium / partner meeting. The morning was the same cross sell value proposition we have seen 2 or 3 times before. Now we are going over how to sell Sage CRM. Same methodologies we have heard before as well

I knew about the Symposium but I hadn't heard about the pre-Symposium Cross-Sell meeting for Sage and partners. Or I heard about it and forgot it. Which is possible. But annoying. Dumb brain.

They briefly mentioned that there would be partner meetings prior to the Symposium but I think that was all via direct email from whatever they call the Sage account managers these days.

cherry williamson from Emerald TC just asked the 500 question to Brad Myers. Another reseller was discussing a SalesLogix prospect who owns 500. Rob Lawson started pushing SageCRM instead of SLX, so cherry brought up, what do we do with these 500 customers. Brad punted and Rob pushed 300. With caveats.. I am not trying to sell 300 over 500, but...

@PeterWolf, I am under the impression that the Cross-Sell sessions will also occur at the next couple Symposiums. They tested it in Houston. It seems to be an informal thing driven by Joe Carroll and Rick Burtt.

I will be very surprised if SalesLogix customer switches to SageCRM. Especially only if because Sage stops formally supporting the integration. In the interchange reported reported by Gary, I'm surprised that they tried to sell a Sage 500 ""upgrade"" to Sage 300? I would have thought X3 was preferred in that case. The Dynalink and ERPLink products are now formally supported by a very good SLX Tech Partner who will likely make them work better than they have under Sage.

Thanks for the info @JerryNorman. I'm surprised we weren't notified as my guy in Atlanta is attending the Symposium. Cie la vie.

Also - @JerryNorman - we are currently working on 2 SLX -> Sage CRM migrations. Both using Sage 100 ERP (MAS) for the back-end. Not sure if it's an aberration or a coming trend.

Come to think of it, I can see it at the Sage 100 level. Next time we talk, I'd be curious about some details.
