Assessment of Sage 100 Premium. I don't have any end users on the SQL version. For some of them the inventory transaction and invoice history files are segmented (very large) and Crystal Reports are taking very long. This data could be exported to SQL, but I was wondering if Sage 100 Premium would be a better option for situations with a large number of users and large data files. Comments?

That is definitely where SQL would be better. Note that it will take more server horsepower, especially memory.

Myron. You might want to review SQL mirroring. It is great for reports and building views of data for streamlining reports

@JohnnyPabian is a HUGE fan of Premium. He should be able to provide some insight.

If they qualify for the premium edition just do it, it solves so many issues of these type issues and opens the door to do many more things!

So Johnny, how's the performance of posting the daily Sales Journal between advanced and premium. 25% longer? 50% longer? About the same?

I've used SQL Mirroring in the past. There is a performance issue are data is written twice. One of our end users found that it increased the time to run the Daily Sales Journal by 75%.
