Context: This is one of the much-hyped connected service mobile apps. Sage Mobile SERVICE had already been canned Sage Mobile Sales had NOT (and is still listed on Sage's website for sale)

Nice! I guess it is a good thing - I did not waste too much time on this. Was trying to use the free one at a client and Sage could not get past granting more than one user to use the app. Urggg.

I believe this is a reason that Himanshu is no longer around. It was my understanding that Mobile was his baby!

I realize we have been educated regarding apps being on the iPad vs. Android platforms and how diverse the Android world is, but Mobile Sales is still only available for iPad. We had a demo with Karen Foreman for a customer that lasted about 4 minutes. As soon as the CEO found out it was not available for Android, he said ""Ok, we're through here.

Per phone call with Sage: 11/24 announcement will go out Sage asked that no blog or public posts be made. I agreed mostly because I don't think there's a huge number of customers impacted. I also spent a decent amount of time talking up 90 Minds and stressing that info a customer or third party sends us regarding Sage announcements/news/info are most definitely **NOT** in the realm of NDA (which never covers info you learn outside an official channel) and in the future it would be very helpful for us to hear this type of news directly from Sage versus a third party. Naturally any type of Sage news that we receive in advance would be held in confidence.

I've confirmed Mobile Sales and Mobile Billing & Payment will be discontinued. Doesn't this fly in the face of ""no forced migration""?

Perhaps Sage paid off the 2 users of these.

One of the 2 was our client. And this announcement will be on the heels of being told their SageCRM.com account was being yanked.

Sage important message on product retirements After careful review and consideration, we have decided to retire Sage Mobile Sales and Sage Billing and Payment as of April 4, 2016. This means that we will no longer market or sell these two products as of today and will support our current customers until April 4, 2016. This decision has been made after reviewing customer feedback and market fit. We recognize our customers' need for increased mobility, so our core focus will be on offering leading-edge mobile solutions through our ecosystem of business partners and ISVs, while concurrently reinvesting back into our core Sage solutions and into the modernization of our growth portfolio. All active and non-active Sage Mobile Sales and Sage Billing and Payment customers will receive an email notification in early December. Our Sage sales teams will immediately be contacting active Sage Mobile Sales and Sage Billing and Payment customers by phone to inform them of the retirement of the services on April 4, 2016. We will also discuss with each customer their options, including some existing mobile solutions that are available through our partner ecosystem. Finally, to help with our customers' transition, Sage Mobile Sales and/or Sage Billing and Payment monthly subscription fees will be waived starting on their next invoice after the December email notification through April 4, 2016. Please download the Talking points and FAQ document (for internal use only). If you have any further questions, please reach out to your regional sales manager or Chris Ashby in product management.
