We had discussed to keeping the Yahoo groups for Technical emergencies. What are your thoughts for that? The issue is that if we don't make a strong push, people won't make the change?

Funny Yammer has released a new interface. some cool features But probably not free. .

I looked at Yammer's new release and had a really hard time telling how it was substantively new. Unfortunately their big stumbling blocks remain: - can only sign people up with company emails. - you don't own data unless you pay. I have not looked to see if their remote or desktop clients have improved by adding threaded views.

I agree. Just funny. Hopefully socialcast will be coming out with something new too. Social cast thumbs up. I think once people get into it they will be pleased with it and will never look back at Sageresellers yahoo.

I think they'll keep adding features to it. I am nervous that it's free -- I would rather see them charge a nominal - $1,000 to $1,500 per year for a group such as us than to have them go out of business.
