Are there specific benefits of a 64-bit Operating system with Sage 100 and if so what are they?

Isn't Sage still a 32 bit system. if so, then only one I can think of is if you have 64 bit Office. Install the 64 bit ODBC and away you go when doing queries.

That's what I'm thinking. Users think that somehow the 64-bit OS is going to turn Sage into a Ferrari..

Ain't going to happen as a result of 64 OS. Maybe a ultra fast processor, hard drive and gigabyte network, but not 64 OS.

I think there is significant advantage of the 64 Bit OS. A 64 Bit OS is limited to 4GB. This does not have a direct effect on Sage 100 but it does on the Server Performance as Microsoft has become so bloated we rarely put less than 8GB on Workstations and 12GB on Server OS. Too much other stuff running on the OS other than Sage to have the restriction. Memory is critical for performance and it is relatively cheap. The worst limitation is a single CPU on Sage 100 Advanced or Premium. That is really crippling. Thumbs down of Office 64 Bit though unless you run into a memory limitation in Excel or something but I just have not seen anyone do it.
