v2018 advanced.  I log onto the Sage 100 server, work in Sage 100, and when I close Sage 100 I get the following message: "Application Still Active. Do you want to terminate it and continue with shutdown?".  I know the application server is running under the administrator logon, and it is possible there is at least one other user logged in to the server other than me and the administrator.

I always answer "Yes" to continue the shutdown so I don;t have stranded pvxwin32 programs.  What is causing this and how do I prevent it?

It could be a third-party application (StarShip, WMS, eComm integration, etc.) that has a pvxwin32 connection to Sage but doesn't show up in the Master Console. Do they have anything like that deployed in their environment?

I have seen that problem ... for me, it turned out to be that the workstations had the same name when looked at in Master Console... I got the network guru's on to it and they did something that made the names unique.  I seem to recall something about a reverse lookup, but I could be wrong....  One other thing of note...  If 'Yes' was selected at that message, whichever user that had the same name was also logged out and not gracefully... Easy enough to check,  fire up Master Console and see if any duplicate names are out there....

Thank you @Randy Marion  If there are three users logged into the server then we all have the same workstation name (the server name).  I never realized this was an issue.  I thought Sage 100 kept track of users by user code and computer name.

I've seen that message at times, as well and wondered what it meant.  Good to know.
