Sage100 Advanced 2019.2  Application Server shuts down 2 or 3 times a week with no error and for no apparent reason. Server is not frozen, nothing in the Windows or Sage logs. Everything seems fine on the server when they report it and we simply start the Application Server back.Don't even have to reboot. Works OK for 2 or 3 days and shuts down again. This was happening on v2016 and an older server. They upgraded to 2019 and got a new server but the issue persists..I recreated SY_Workstation and SY_Console several times already. Tried running as a service but they got all kind of errors; so we quickly switched back to Application Server. AV is excluded and was even removed from the server. They have 40 users.
Running out of ideas. Any suggestions on what else I can check on or change?

Use the registry hack to increase memory for Services, and run it normally.  That should stop the "all kind of errors".
#3 in this article is what Wayne is referring to.

Thank you Wayne and Kevin. I implemented some changes last night as per the KB's but unfortunately they called 10 minutes ago to tell me the Application Server shut down again. I have a feeling it's something they are unknowingly doing in Sage100 that is shutting down the Application. Maybe a corrupt data or program file somewhere. The only add-on they have is APS Credit Cards.

Someone mistakenly logged off the server session running the service?

I wish. That would be too easy. When I get on the server the user (administrator) is logged on and everything looks normal, with the exception of the Application Server being off.

Double-check all the usual suspects ( below ). Triple check that your regedit changes took and were entered properly.

Review this note - which I think is older since it mentions Server 2003 - toward the end is @Jim Woodhead recommendation for settings. Again, this is an older note of mine so take it for what it's worth. I think the REGEDIT issue persists so I would definitely verify that change.

What port number are you running on? Could it be some type of conflict with the port? I haven't seen this in quite some time but years ago there used to be problems with some backup software that would port conflict.

Thanks again Wayne. I’ll try these changes and check if they took effect. We are using port 9960. It used to be port 10000 conflicted with backup exec.

I think Microsoft rolled something out recently that conflicts with Port 10000. It hasn’t worked for my last five Advanced/Premium installations.
