  • 1.  AP Remit To Address Accidentally Used

    A new AP person checked the "Print Remit To Information" box during check printing.  The previous AP person didn't maintain the remit to addresses and always used the "Main" vendor address on the checks.  Vendors started calling asking for payment because several hundred checks went to outdated remit to addresses over the last month or so. They don't use paperless office to keep check copies.  How can we determine which checks went out with incorrect addresses?  Is the address that is printed on the check stored in Sage 100?  They would like to be proactive and contact the vendors and ask if they received the check.

    If the Remit is checked, then it uses Remit for all of them, so just looking at that Remit address should tell them which are wrong.  A quick Crystal Report comparing the Main to Remit would help...

    We have a client that uses Remit addresses extensively, and would really benefit from this being added to check history... but there simply is no evidence (AFAIK).

    @Kevin Moyes - Can't you print checks to Paperless? And with 2024, they should be able to track Remit changes in the Vendor Audit now.

    (That business is a bit unconventional... they are a billing / collection service.  Vendors are not vendors, they are locations, where the management company changes from time to time... which is the Remit address.  They asked for reports by management company, but none were possible, because payments don't track Remit data at all, and the current Remit address isn't necessarily what was in place for historical payments).
