I just tested the following and it works:
new formula @LengthOfSpelledOutAmount
length({@SpelledOutCheckAmount})
new formula @TEST1
left({@SpelledOutCheckAmount},{@LengthOfSpelledOutAmount}-8)
new formula @newSpelledOutCheckAmount
{@TEST1} + " " + right(totext({AP_CheckWrk.CheckAmt}),2) + " / 100"
Of course you can use different formula names and combine the formulas if you wish. I did this quick and dirty a piece at a time to get it working.

I managed to get the formula not to error out but the below attempt did not result in any bell ringing or eureka moments. "xx/" still appeared.
formula = "*" + Uppercase(Replace(ToWords({AP_CheckWrk.CheckAmt},2),"xx/","00/"))
Any other thoughts out there?

Kinda my thought. This is the first in 20 years for me. These are the same folks that were hand writing checks for over a year (most vendors paid via bank's DD portal) and took five months after I recommended they start printing checks in house......
