AP Check Printing in 2013... I have read a lot of issues are being encountered with printing in general, but AP Check printing is abysmally slow. Anyone found a work around?

What is so slow? All workstations, one printer? Does it print fast from the server? Anti Virus reviewed. Many scenarios. Need more specifics.

Hey Jeff, anti virus is set to ignore Sage 100. We already disabled the server firewall (IT is working on a config for this) as the firewall was causing slow down across the board. We have improved performance, but it seems like anything that pulls on the ODBC is slow, and AP Check printing is the SLOWEST.

I don't know - I think Payroll may be worse.

I have heard this complaint repeatedly about check printing - have there been any resolutions? Or are people not brining it up because they're living with it?

Is the slowdown in creating the work file or in delivering the work file to Crystal?

Good question @PhilMcIntosh. I looked back at the Community post (Version 2013 - Slow Performance . . .) for John Nichols' answer, but I don't know if his explanation has the answer to your question buried in there.

@BarbaraGoldstein - John Nichols' answer seems to be just about the paperless driver, which is a third separate place where things could slow down. @AlnoorCassim - any ideas on what might cause a particular table to become exceptionally slow in the ODBC? I saw this on the WO9 table from 4.3 to 4.4 - a customer who did several daily reports based on WO9 that took 1-2 minutes in 4.3 suddenly took 1-2 hours in 4.4.
