Added a $5,000 one-time setup fee. Does anyone else think that will sell well? This is not motivating to me.

It gives them something to waive. LOL
But I can see their point.  Who'd want to implement someone with no guarantee they will start using the product.

They are certainly bucking the trend - most of the software subscription ads these days are "free trial for COVID-19"...

@Jerry Norman I have only had one customer sign up with them and it was fairly early in the game. I don't recall there being a setup fee. It was simply the usage fee, per invoice with a minimum number of invoices based on the tier they selected.

I have a customer that paid much less for one time fee....and by the way, was very upset with the new price schedule. Even tough they are very happy with the product...the monthly cost just doubled...

This is definitely something that should have been run by the BPAC, since they represent the channel.

We've had a tough time with BeanWorks all the way around.  We have had several clients "attempt" to use it, but we only have one client now who uses it consistently.  (And with the price increase, I would not at all be surprised if they dropped it.)  Most of the problems/issues have been around the implementation.  The implementers are great in the first meeting, then they disappear, then a week or so later a new person takes over. Then no one can get ahold of them...so we're not selling BeanWorks at this point in time.

I have one customer who I believe Beanworks sold direct back toward the end of 2019. They have not yet implemented.

I’m not sure if this will ever be implemented. I couldn’t get a straight answer about how this was sold direct. It didn’t seem like there was a fee attached to the initial sale.

Beanworks seems to be pretty aggressive at selling into opportunities - with or without the partner.

One thing I learned is that Beanworks doesn’t work with unified login. If your customer has that option selected they’ll need to drop back to a “regular” login.

Is there a recording of this posted online somewhere in the Partner Hub? I have a customer asking about AP Automation and I want to see what was discussed at this webinar.
