  • 1.  AP Automation Feedback - Tipalti specifically

    I have a large healthcare company looking at Tipalti for AP Automation. The "pain" they are looking to make go away is the approval process which is quite hectic for them - especially around month-end.

    I have a customer using Quadient/Beanworks for AP Automation and they are quite happy.

    Now I'm looking for feedback specifically on Tipalti and Sage 100. I presume Tipalti works similarly with a synchronization tool of some sort and then a web based UI for the approvals and other Tipalti AP work?

    Has anyone worked with Tipalti who can provide feedback? At this time I'm not looking to bring in other AP automation options unless feedback about Tipalti makes looking at other options seem advisable.

    Have not heard of it.
    AvidXchange has approval workflow and is modular.

    I think Tipalti may be an affiliate. The customer had previously looked at BeanWorks/Quadient with a prior CFO. I believe Tipalti is similar to Quadient.

    I don't know about Tipalti, but I'll back up Bob's comment about AvidXchange. We have a customer who bought this some time ago SOLELY for the invoice approval workflow. They have a dispersed workforce of employees who buy stuff, and they had a terrible time getting invoice approvals before they brought this in. 

    I will guess that all AP Auto solutions do this, but your customer definitely should check out how Tipalti does this and whether it fits their corporate process needs.

    Also, check on the vendor portal, if present. This lets our customer's vendors check anytime on the approval/payment status of invoices without calling/emailing AP staff.

    Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like Tipalti is not yet active in the Sage 100 market. If this customer moves forward I will have additional feedback.
