Anyone seen this from SPS? It includes a link to the virtual terminal where the customer needs to sign in. I've never seen this before..... Subject: Annual Agreement Update - Sage Payments Dear Sage Payments customer, you need to renew your annual agreement with Sage. Failure to do so will result with your account status set to -INACTIVE-, only test transactions will be possible. Download your personal login page from this email and continue. Sage VT Team 2012.

Beat you to it.... Wonder how they are getting e-mail addresses???? Was Sage hacked?

Sounds like Sage got hacked and these are spam with the intent to harvest info.

I just forwarded the email to Rich Englhard and someone from SPS asking if it is valid.

What does the link point to? The actual Sage Payments website or a false address?

It's a login page but not the actual one. There is a link on it to FAQ's but it doesn't work. Not good....

I didn't even click on the link as my spam radar was setting off alarms......

I'm guessing they'll capture your user ID and password when you try and login. This is NOT good..... Fortunately, my customer forwarded it to me asking what it was first.

I received an e-mail from SPS a few days warning of this physhing scam. Sorry, I assumed everyone got the e-mail.

I deleted the message while rolling my eyes... thinking who's foolish enough to click on that AND provide login detail. I recommend a full scan for anyone that clicked on the link. Wouldn't be surprised if they find keyloggers on the PC. SPS says to immediately change your VT passwords... I'd do this from a different PC.

Thanks - I just sent out an email to my customers in case Sage didn't notify them.

@WayneSchulz did you copy the message in the email you sent to your customers? I did and many of them were undeliverable. Reason: phish.

Only the text that you included -- I used MailChimp to send so I may not have received the bounce info directly.

I only included the text as well. I hope that means the ones that bounced didn't get the original email either!

Can you make a JPG of the email?

The spam email - but no worries Jeff sent me a copy. I just wanted an image.

Thanks for making us aware of this. I just had a client send me the same type of e-mail and was able to alert them immediately.
