JobOps is installed @BrettZimmerman. Not sure @ThereseLogeais is she's modified her panel. New client, but they've been using the software for a long time. @PamScott didn't reset panel...waiting to see if there's something else that might be the issue. She's never run into this before.

So what's changed that this is just popping up for her?

Been trying to figure that out.

Hi Everyone...here's the update on this problem. The original error was a fluke (client trying to apply something they learned to the wrong situation). However, the real problem is this - every time the 2 of the 5 Sales people try to look at an existing order or enter an new one for a specific Customer, everything greys out. On Tuesday they had server problems, kept ""going offline"". Weird that only a couple of people are having this problem. They've shutdown their workstations and restarted etc., but to no avail. Any ideas? This is 4.4 w/JobOps

Deb, I had a similar problem last week also. The workstations lost contact with the server. But, only some of the workstations were having the problem. It turns out that only those people logged into MAS at the time of the lost connection had the problem. Those not logged in had no issues. We had to create a new user Log in for each of the problem users and all was well.

Harold, I think you may have hit the mark. I've checked a ton of things on their system and the data appeared fine. Will test to see if a new user login works for them.

Rats, that didn't work. Anyone else have an idea of how to get these users to see their SOs from this particular customer?

If it's user specific - and you can test by having one user on the exact same workstation log out and another log in -- that would seem to point to some type of custom office issue? This is also salespeople -- the most common place someone potentially could have created a ""don't let 'em change anything ""type enhancement in Custom Office.

Wayne, I'll have them try it having someone else log into their workstation, but they could see the customer as of last Tuesday. But after the server failures Tuesday evening 2 users now can't. The information is greyed out when they access any SO from one particular customer. They can see everyone else (customers that is).

I don't see any mention in the posts that the server was rebooted. Has it been since the saga started?

Lock files? I've seen some odd stuff where the \mas90\lock\xxx folder had leftover locks. I wonder if having everyone exit, renaming that folder to \lock.old and creating a new \lock would do anything?

@WayneSchulz - am logged into the client at the moment and just want to confirm that it is the mas90\lock file that I should rename to lock.old and a new one created. There's a bunch of stuff in that file for all their companies including the main company. I haven't touched this file before and have no clue what it does. So before I go there I just wanted to make sure I've got this right.

I'm looking for the KB entry that I was referencing. I think so long as everyone is out you should be able to test this just by renaming that \lock folder and creating a new one. If it doesn't solve the issue rename it back

So, @WayneSchulz , renaming the file didn't help. I logged in as myself and the customer's SOs display just fine. When I login as the user in question, they go grey and the lines blank out. Any other suggestions?

Some type of panel customization. Are the users in a customization group? Check user maintenance. Are the panels customized? Ctrl-F9 to check.

Problem is it only effects two users and only recently (since last week). All users can access SO just fine, but just not 2 of them. I'll check for customizations, but this is really weird. The fields are all greyed out - every field - for ONLY one customer. All other customer SOs are fine. They created another user code for one of the impacted people and it too was greyed out. Am pulling my hair out on this one.

No customization user group.

Thanks @RobertWood - tried it on the test User and it didn't work. However, I found the problem. I kept seeing that the Customer was on credit hold. They don't care about credit limits so I shut them off and low and behold the customer appears as do all the SOs. Wonder why. Multiple users with the same roles, but only two impacted. Ideas?

EXACT same roles? Chalk it up to crap happens.

This was enough to make me drink...oh wait, I already am doing that...

Have you renamed the sy_workstation and sy_console files?
