    Anyone seen the new online support software ""join.me""? Just used it with my IT group and it works very nicely - clean, professional, simple and free! Think it is a Logmein product, but very cool. Am considering it in lieu of GTA. Thought I'd see if anyone else had used it or had any input.

    I've not seen it. At about $50/yr (cheaper prepaid) we are using GotoMeeting.

    I'm going to give it a try though -- I actually have a GotoWebinar for $99/mo that I'd probably cancel.

    From their FAQ: - Up to 250 people can join - $29.mo for ""pro"" version - can create a personal link which I assume would be like http://join.me/wayne - Lacks participant screen switching -- you have to start a new Join Me session in order to do that - so this would mean Join.Me doesn't work for a webinar where you have to hand off the presentation to someone else. It does appear to work for our purposes though -- I tried it on my iMac and it seemed to work reasonably well. The screen movement was a little slow but I have a large resolution screen so that certainly could have been an issue. Thanks for bringing this up.

    You are welcome Wayne. I am trying to figure out if it will work for my support work and online training. It does seem to have what I need except I like the report I get to use for billings. But at $125/mo for GoToAssist...I guess I can make notes on what I'm doing. :)

    I just haven't figured out how to make ""fixed fee"" work. I read all your notes and get chided by Ed Kless regularly about this. As you know I keep trying to figure out how to make invoicing easier...sigh.

    Renegotiate with GTA. They'll usually drop you to $100 a month with no question.

    I talked to them Robert and they said to go to the GTA Express...at $69 a month it's a reduction in costs, but...not sure about it.

    They must have stopped that when GTE was released.
