Could it be an invalid date? Could you look in JT_D1 and review the records to see if any of them have an invalid date?

Error 47 would be a field with not enough characters failing to format as a date.

Yes, that's it a whole series of things with a completely inaccurate date. Question of course becomes, are they valid entries or not and how the heck did they happen. Now comes the hard part - finding the material entries. Thanks for the help.

Just curious ... were there entries in JT_D1 before you applied the new release?

They haven't done the R3 Astro update yet. Found out it was an bad import from their barcode system. Am going to clear the data in D1 and since the data doesn't appear in the WTs, I assume that the info never made it to Transactions. Would you agree?

I would look in the work tickets to see if the labor JT_Transaction (s) did make it. If they did you will have to manually delete them.

Yeah, I was afraid you were going to say that. Sigh. Problem is that once the date corrupted, additional info corrupted as well WT info for example. Finding the postings in Transactions will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

It shouldn't be that bad, since the transactions post by SO/WT/Step then the funky date :)

Sadly, the transactions did make it to the Transaction file. Any other place I should worry about beside JT_D1 and JT_Transactions?

Hey Deb no other files to delete from but you will need to run the jtxuda utility on those wts to recalc the total cost buckets.

Ran the validation report before the clean-up and no errors. Should I run utility even if if nothing appears?

If you run the validation report after you delete the detail records, you should then have validation utility messages for detail v. summary costs not in synch. There shouldn't have been validation errors before the cleanup because the records posted correctly for the costs.

Gotcha. Will be fixing this in about an hour once they close down for the day.
