Anyone recall which version that MICR functionality was incorporated into standard MAS 90/200?

It first appears in Bank Code Maintenance in 4.2 on my systems.

I was thinking it was added quite a while back (sometime in the 3.x days). Wouldn't it have appeared when AP graphical forms were first introduced?

Thanks, Gene. I thought it came out earlier than 4.20, but you don't see it available in any of your versions prior to that? I think AP-1025 did become obsolete with the 4.20 release but I still thought it was in MAS before that.

It was at least as far back as 3.51. That was the first version I set it up for.

I think it was available in versions prior to 4.2 but you had to buy the MICR font and do everything yourself within the crystal form. In 4.2 it was added to bank code maintenance and to the security tab in role maintenance.

I will amend that. I was just able to see it in my 4.1 so it deifinitely available earlier.

@Gene, I just looked it up in 3.71 and there is definitely a MICR button at least that far back.

@Gene, I guess I missed something. The MICR font is now included? Is the font installed automatically with MAS? Is it not still controlled by crystal? I know they added the Azalea font for barcoding but I didn't know anything about the MICR.

You still have to buy the font. The more I look at it, it seems the role maintenance addition is what was added in 4.2. I guess I need some clarification as to what Brett means by it becoming a part of the ""standard"" product. The MICR capability via the crystal forms has definitely been around for a long time.

Shoot I was hoping they would just go ahead and add the font in like they did barcoding.

The Adobe fonts are $30.

Not copy protected, but copyrighted. These are Adobe's version of MICR. $29 and good for 5 computers. You can also Google MICR and find free versions to download.

What I was referring to was when the MICR button became available in Bank Code Maintenance. Before that it required Ext Sol AP-1025 (and PR-1034).
