Anyone know why MAS bombs as a service if you have some heavy MAS usage? I have two clients, both on 4.5 SQL, wondering why they have to run it as an application. They are running beefy dedicated servers with plenty of resources, but if it's running as service we get the WindX Client Connection Connection Timed out waiting for your application to start. Am looking into using FireDaemon as a work around, but I'm not sure if that will result in the same errors.

Do you have SS-3003 fix installed? (Registry modification). We have had many discussios about it on SC.

Nope - thanks Jim, that's the first I've heard of it. So when I type in SS-3003 it takes me to one article, which takes me to another, which has a link to a related doc: SS3003-ABC, which doesn't work (404 - the requested resource is not available). This sounds like it might be the issue - do you have a doc or a fix? Trying to search SS-3003 in the community forum also and not finding anything.

Thanks everyone - now it pops up when i search anything close to that. I swear yesterday the only article that came back was the change to an application or do something with RAID - anyway, so this lovely article on registry modification that Alnoor wrote works?

Works great and is very necessary for big MAS200 system. It has been been updated for Win 2008.
