    Anyone know what this SPS error means - ""X-CREDIT VOL EXCEEDED

    We got this error when trying to do a return and the customer sale had not been settled so SPS thought that a credit was being processed and there was no sales on record for that customer. We found out that if the customer had no previous sales you had to settle the sale before processing the credit.

    This also happens if you try and process a credit directly through the VT and there is not a sale that meets or exceeds the credit amount within the last six months for the card.
