Anyone know if there is a way to launch the Activity Log report dialog box without waiting for the entire Activity Log to load on screen first? Some installations take hours to do the initial load of the Activity Log due do many, many years on the software or just a boat load of VI import transactions.

I have found it easier to dump that file to excel and search for what I need there.

I usually build my own Crystal Report. I can build it and run it in less time than it takes for the screen to pop up.

Ditto @RobertWood; I always have a Crystal Report that I use at all clients.

Definitely feeling the ""why didn't I think of that!"" but that's part of what makes this group so great! Thanks!

@KathrynForadori, if you don't already have a Crystal Report available on a customer site and you're in a hurry, you can also use Data File Display and Maintenance to look at SY_ActivityLog.M4T. All the information is there and it's a lot faster to load. Searching isn't great, but it's possible.
