Anyone know a good way to make a Warehouse go away in 4.50? It has transactions from about 4 years ago.

Can you purge transaction detail via utilities. Then use the X on the item warehouse detail screen?

Thanks. There's only 27 pages of stuff in the IM_ItemWarehouse file.

Like I said, PITA... What if you copy it to another company, purge transaction detail AND warehouse detail for all items, then delete the warehouse and manually copy the warehouse masterfile back? Again, I haven't done it and have no idea what kinds of errors THAT may cause but....

Or export the warehouse detail file out, purge the unwanted warehouse detail, then reimport it?

I deleted the warehouse from the Warehouse master file a few versions back and it hadn't really been a huge issue until they upgraded from 4.30 to 4.50. I knew it was going to be an issue and had even warned them it probably would. I may have to look at purging history.

I had the same problem back in September. I ended up reactivating the wareshouses. I don't think there is a utility to renumber/merge warehouses in the detail transaction and any other table where the obsolete data resides. Would be great if a member could write the utility and group members share the cost similar to rebuilding the sales history by month for customers. Randy Marion, Alnoor (and others), what would this take?

I did this with a customer about a year ago. From what I remember we followed the instructions Therese posted as well as having to do some DFDM on a warehouse quantity file for amounts that we couldn't find another way to zero out.

Removing a warehouse before IM went to the 4.x framework was a PITA as @ThereseLogeais states above - it would appear that Sage as made it completely impossible now ... Let me look into this some more and see what I can figure out. Unless @AlnoorCassim has some magic up his sleeve??? More later.

I just had to add back a missing warehouse in 4.5 for one item. I tried following the steps in this KB but now find that the Remove Item Warehouse button is disabled. User has the Allow Deleting of Item Warehouse Records selected in Role Maintenance but there are customizations to IM Maintenance. This button appears to be Hidden and I cannot unhide it! I deselect it and click Save then go back in and once again, it is hidden. What would be causing this?
