Anyone here an ""expert"" with KnowledgeSync? Willing to share your experiences with VineyardSoft, etc.?

Big Louie is probably the most ""intimate"" with Don and the Gang! Are you having issues?

No, we have an end-user interested in it for delivery of Crystal reports but I'm getting conflicting info on the requiements, e.g. if you order the Enterprise edition, do you need the Crystal reports add-on?

Yes, you need the report add-on to run. I found out the hard way by assuming you didn't. Incredibly, Farber gave the client the report module at N/C when I contacted him expressing my dismay (when he demonstrated the product at Summit that year, there was no mention that what he was showing (Crystal) was not included in the base package.). What a stand up thing to do!!! Can you imagine Sage doing this???? We do this quite extensively. Are you writing the reports or will the end-user do their own? To circumvent the speed issues of the ODBC driver AND to get around the database limitations, we always get the Access database connection, then use PTQ's to pull the information into Crystal. Works very well for us. Let me know if you would like to know more.

We have several reports already written for them which they run daily/weekly/monthly and yes, they do take time to run thus the desire to automate them. Can you tell me more about the Access connection, etc.?

On a side note, does KnowledgeSync count towards tier??

Yes. You have to order it through Sage.

My CAM said to order it through VineyardSoft - see my confusion??

You have to order through Sage for tier. You technically have to order through Sage to get the MAS connection. You can order through Vineyardsoft for the Access connector which you can use with Pass Through Queries to access the MAS database.

The pricing is the same at Sage. You just have to hold your position with Farber when you ask for the license key that it is for Access.

@ThereseLogeais - Robert and Jeff are right. You need to order through you CAM. I have a client with KS and SageCRM and was told the same thing - order from VineyardSoft. Don't believe it! It's on the Sage price list - I believe because it is an Endorsed product.

I finally connected with Mike Giovanello in Sales and he was kind enough to enter the quote for me. It is too darn hard to order anything by yourself these days..... You would not believe the string of emails/phone calls it took me to get this done!

Sage should implement SageCRM and create a partner portal using Web Self-Service so we can place our orders like that. My tiny company did it - Sage can too! I have faith.

Therese we use Knowledge Sync a LOT and love it. One little secret is that if you deal directly with Don sometimes you get stuff for free that Sage might charge you for. Just keep it between us.

You are limited to what KS can do only by your imagination!
