Yes, you need the report add-on to run. I found out the hard way by assuming you didn't. Incredibly, Farber gave the client the report module at N/C when I contacted him expressing my dismay (when he demonstrated the product at Summit that year, there was no mention that what he was showing (Crystal) was not included in the base package.). What a stand up thing to do!!! Can you imagine Sage doing this???? We do this quite extensively. Are you writing the reports or will the end-user do their own? To circumvent the speed issues of the ODBC driver AND to get around the database limitations, we always get the Access database connection, then use PTQ's to pull the information into Crystal.
