Anyone have any clients who converted to Sage 100 Contractor? I have a PIA client using Job Cost and I'd like for them to look at Contractor (so I don't have to deal with them any more). (Their issue is that they won't put all of their data into the system, but then expect to be able to get reports using said missing data. No, Contractor isn't going to help that. It will just be someone else's problem then.) :-)

I am starting an engagement with one of our CPA clients that is implementing Sage 100 Contractor. The business partner will be Alliance Solutions Group, but I will project manage it. The client is part of the Beverly Hilton group that is building the new Waldorf-Astoria hotel and two condominium towers. Not sure if that is similar to your client's business. We will be live mid-February.

They use contract consultants, at least in California, but I imagine in many other areas also. The one here is knowledgeable but seems to have too much going on to give the project sufficient time. There is an assigned person from the main Florida office but that is ineffective being so removed. I felt like there was some information given that was misleading from the salesperson. The reality is that the whole CRE software is approached very differently than ERP with less involvement and less consulting. We as consultants are much more involved with our clients. It could be the industry, which is much less sophisticated. I'm not sure there is any group better than ASG, though. I think all of these resellers that are physically distant from the client and consultant don't have as much control and this shows.
