Anyone have an installation using a Document Manag

Anyone have an installation using a Document Management System that is interfaced to SAGE 100 ERP? Client has multiple locations with centralized purchasing and payment processing. Looking to implement a system that will capture document (vendor invoice) image, route the document via workflow for approval, with document image available in SAGE 100 ERP for historical archive. OnBase by Hyland Software is one such system and another is docSTAR 3thirteen by docSTAR a SAGE Silver Development Partner. Any advice will be appreciated.

    I think @JeffSchwenk has a customer on Altec's competitor

I think @JeffSchwenk has his own doc mgt system, for small firms, at least.

I have the Chevy version and my client uses ACOM (for past four years) and are happy with it. For your multiple location, I would go with Acom or Altec. Interfaces are well developed for either one.

@MichaelMcDonald we have been carrying Altec for over 10 years as it has been a long time player in the PFW arena. We have done about 15 deals. The smallest was a 3 user system with 100. The largest had 150 users with PFW. Overall, we like the tool a lot but it is more like a CRM rather than 100 in that it is a toolset to devise and automate workflows. Since there aren't any FASB or GAAP to dictate processes, methodologies, rules, or guidelines, setting things up is like an open book. I say this in that you will want to leverage resources from Altec on your first project or two. If so, contact Tony Choquehanca for sales or implementation help. Be sure to ask for Lori Corbino for project management on the Altec side of the house during the project to help keep things moving and get the resources schedule and on-task as you move forward. Jessica Quintanilla, director of professional services, is also a good person to know. If you need contact information for any of the above or you want to discuss any details, don't hesitate to call me directly at (918) 388-9759. Have a great weekend.

We just closed our first sale on this app for Sage 100. We have one for Sage 500. It worked great with Sage 500.

That is exactly what I am doing at one of my clients with Altec's doc-link. It is working great. They actually are processing about 40K invoice a week. from 160 locations. Richard Simmons at Altec is familar with the client . (Note SAGE 100 ERP Premium or SQL mirroring makes the interface much more Robust_)

BTW Altec has been very generous to 90 Minds in the past with our sponsoring events..

As we mentioned in another discussion, if the Sage Endorsed program goes away as it relates to Altec, they may be more generous with the channel. RIP date for endorsed unknown.

@JimWoodhead I never thought about using SQL mirroring for Altec purposes. That would make retro-indexes a heck of a lot easier to implement. Great idea. Thanks.

Absolutely, We never really use erm-capture because of it. All the check details sync great.
