Anyone have a work around for editing tracking numbers in Invoice Data Entry for shipping Data Entry batches? I can edit everything else on the shipment invoice EXCEPT the tracking information. I can edit the line items but not the package information. I can't seem to find a way around it and can't seem to find a reason why it is locked up to begin with.

I believe you must access this screen only in Shipping Data Entry to modify it, if originated there.

Yes, that it the case. Just looking for a way to access it in Invoice data entry. Why can I edit quantities and everything else, but the package and tracking information is locked. Client wants Customer Service reps to add tracking information when they review/print the invoice because the tracking information is generated after the shipment is processed in shipment data entry. They do not want c/s to have to switch between shipping data entry and invoice data entry

I think it is because if they are using something like StarShip that actually writes the tracking number back, they don't want that to be changed.

I agree with Therese. When re data is pushed into Shipping Data Entry, it shouldn't be modified elsewhere.

Client is not using Starship or any other shipping integration, so nothing is being pushed in. However, with that logic, then nothing should be modified in invoice data entry, yet, users can change quantities and pricing and even addresses, just none of the package information.

Import the tracking information? Use Excel or Access, create daily template of shipments in progress add column for tracking info and import at end of day.

That's a possibility. I'm actually trying to create a script that pushes the change in from a UDF in Invoice Data Entry.
