Anyone have a link or document that describes the key differences between special and regular inventory items. I know one is that in recent versions special items no longer have extended description capabilities. Another is that you cannot apply special pricing. I wonder if there is a more complete document somewhere.

Another difference is that special and misc items won't post to the Purchases Clearing from Receipt of Goods.
