Anyone have a definitive method for changing the colors in a Crystal bar chart? It appears you can only change them in a preview, but then the changes don't get saved?? Google search keeps sending me round in circles...

I think the problem would be that chart data does not have preset values for the chart row / column categories. It's always data driven, so I'd be surprised if you could save a colour association within the report template.

Found this article https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22918046/Need-to-format-more-than-4-series-in-a-chart.html which pointed out the use of templates. A few caveats: (1)you don't see the name of the template when you try to select it for use so you have to remember what order they are in. (2)for me, on initial application of the template it switched the axes. This can be fixed in Chart Options, Legends tab, by checking ""Swap Series/Groups"".
