Anyone get daily summaries automatically sent from Sage City for the Sage 100 forums? Those are some tremendously ugly layouts.

I don't like them either. Rather unappealing.

I have cut back to one and am not finding it particularly useful. For me, Sage City is harder to use than the Community it replaced. 90% of the time, what I want to do is go to Sage 100 ERP support Community, Pick a Forum and Search just within that forum. I have been unable to figure out how to make a forum a favorite (A web browser favorite does work). I also do not know how to search within a forum. What did I miss?

I'm certainly not a fan.

What puzzle me is why Sage keeps coming out with these social media channels that are consistently clunky and unappealing. Is this type of thing so state of the art that there are few sample to learn from? or does the team that does this just not look around at others and improve on them?

I am thinking the team is busy writing little articles to put in news letters, emails, posts on linked-in and so on. What I've received seems to be saying for Sage City to achieve what Sage envisions for it, we need to learn to like it and use it. I don't think the turnout is as large as expected.

I haven't tried the City since I locked myself out two weeks ago. Bigger fish to fry!

Does anyone else have to constantly log into Sage City? It doesn't seem to always ""remember me"". Although I wonder if it has anything to do with logging into it on multiple computers.

@JohnBroadfoot If you go into the forum you are wishing to search and got up to the search box, there is a little down arrow next to the magnifying glass. If you pull it down, you can select either Search Everything or Search [Forum Name].

Fyi, re: the issue with constantly having to re-log into Sage City because the ""remember me"" setting isn't working: ""This is an issue we are aware of and working to fix. We hope to have it resolved in the next short while. We apologize for the inconvenience.

@RobertWood, that works fine. I had setup several favorites in Windows. Got my village idiot hat on. It does not appear there is a way to search a forum, only the Group (Support Community) it belongs to. Searching within the Group is a big help; however, if I open one of the results and it is not helpful, I have to re-enter all the search criteria including 'Group only' again. I found even though my search criteria was the same as the original, the new set of results didn't have all the same stuff. I also discovered the 'Show All' button even removes the Group filter.

Yes. That part is really crappy.

Hey, I think I got it. When I get into Sage City, I don't choose Support Communities or anything, I just type something in the search box and hit enter. That takes me to a different page with a whole list of stuff. From there I can re-enter my actual search criteria if necessary and filter (on the left) to show only Forums from the Group Sage 100 ERP. That gets me a list that is usually too long but is more or less related to what I want. If an item is picked and is not what I am looking for, I can click back on the browser and end up at the same list with the same filters. I can refine or change the search criteria at will and the filters stay the same. It would still be nice to have a filter for specific Forum. Feel pretty silly it took me this long to figure out this much. Think I will leave it there and see how long it lasts.

The folks monitoring that forum are the ones who are running the day-to-day operations of Sage City.

@JohnBroadfoot To ""favorite"" a forum, go into the forum and click ""Favorite this Forum"" in the OPTIONS portlet. Your forum will be added to your Favorites list that is accessed at the top of your screen (provided you're logged in). Even having these notes, it took a few moments to find it.

@BrettZimmerman Apparently the having to relog in is an issue they are investigating.

Thank you @RobertWood. The ""Favorite this Forum"" provides a quick way to get to a New Post prompt. The method I have been using to Search provides the ability to revise searches and read multiple articles but does not offer a New Post prompt.

I've spent a lot of time in Sage City the last few days. It's not bad once you figure out how to navigate it. Then again, you need a gps, compass, and map to navigate it.
