Anyone familiar with Kissingers ACH Direct, and what features it offers that are cooler than the Sage ACH (i.e. can't live without)? I have a client coming from 4.3 where they have it, and they are trying to decide if it is worth keeping when they go to 5.2. Downloaded the pdf, but experience speaks louder than outdated documents :) TIA!!

I had a customer (since migrated to Sage Construction) using Kissinger ACH. Never had any problems. I liked that Kissinger kept all their updates online and I could login anytime and get the proper version under the customer account number. But that was back when ACH wasn't baked in. Now I don't think I'd use Kissinger only because it's one more third party enhancement to manage and the Sage ACH is native and available with just an unlock key.

Thanks Wayne, that was my thought too, but 4.3 was before my time so I wanted to double-check. :) Thanks for the quick response!!

Is the Kissinger ACH used for payroll or just AP? If Payroll and they move to Sage, wouldn't they have to purchase the Sage DD?

Currently you can still use 3rd party payroll ACH. When you setup ACH in Payroll Options, there is an Other choice on the dropdown.

So what will life be like when Sage jams the new improved PR process down our throats? Do these 3rd party apps became a thing of the past?

I have two clients I am thinking of that use PR ACH, The one with Sage never has problems, the one with Kissinger has regular file corruption problems and we have to call Kissinger to resolve. I like the folks at Kissinger, always helpful and I also like their portal, but can't understand why the ACH files blow up on a regular basis.

We have four clients using Kissinger ACH Direct Deposit for Payroll (some for over 15 years) and we have never had an issue with it. Like @WayneSchulz said, the updates are on line and so is their KB.

I have to agree with @GregStiles - ACH issues are rare anyway, but the only time I've had issues is with Kissinger. Have to keep reinitializing one file.
