Anyone ever have a customer want to put multiple salespeople on an invoice - all earning their full commission? I know I can override but that only allows a max of two. Ideally I'd like up to 5. They may also have situations where they split commission.

Seems that you can use the split commissions but you would need to be creative on what the total commission rate would be on the invoice. If 5 salespeople earn 3% each, then total commission rate on the invoice would be 15% where each salesperson receives 20% of the 100%.

Looking further at this - i see that I can override and have up to 2 salespeople each get full commission. If I look at the underlying Sage data table I see that there is a spot for what looks like 5 commission rates or split %. I wonder if these 5 fields total could each hold a different rate and if that would be updated to the salesperson commission report.

I used to do this along time ago but I had to export the commission data to excel and recomputed. Sage won't really do what you want unless you get creative like @BillPfahnl suggested.

I'm going to try to enter data via DFDM to the 5 commission rate fields in SO Header and see whether that data carries forward. It'd be nice if it did but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm curious to hear how that works, @WayneSchulz

It doesn't look like the rates get pulled forward when you go from Sales Order to Sales Order Invoice. It does pull through all 5 salespeople codes just not the commission %.

Same problem I always had. I could put the correct rates in the commission file so that it would ""stamp"" the S/O invoice but then I had to export the whole file to Excel to run the calculations. Over some time, I was able to set up a macro to do all the work...... Just the usual PITA.

Found an interesting explanation of how commissions work - https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/go/km/docs/sageKM/Sage%20MAS%2090%20MAS%20200/Ungated%20Customers/Help/SO/ConceptTopics/Calculating_Sales_Commissions.htm
