Anyone ever get this error ""Missing the client's software language library message files."" New 2017 PU1 Adv. Not on a Citrix connection as Sage's KB article says.

Yes. Today. They were in a remote environment and I got it when the IT person gave the users full rights to home\lib\keys but the main workstation folder \mas90 did not have full rights. The IT person gave full rights on the workstation to that folder and the problem went away. Possibly this is rights related.

I'm pretty sure it is but I gave the MAS90 directory and the LIB directory full permissions. Now I'm just getting other weird errors. No valid activation, unable to connect to server, the list goes on. This is a test install that I am just doing this afternoon.

What happens in standalone mode - similar errors?

Nope, that works. What does that mean??

Possibly an issue with the account running the Sage 100 Service? It should be a domain admin level account.

No it does not. This is what IT says. Why would it need domain admin rights?

It has to do with a local account not being able to execute a UNC. I ran into it once with VI where the user on Adv would get an error because the server couldn't see the source file on another server. I'm sure there are other issues. This is what I cribbed from Alnoor many years ago: http://www.s-consult.com/2008/10/08/tips-how-to-set-up-an-application-server-in-sage-mas-200-version-4x/

Tried using his user for the service, still no luck.

Also, check permissions on the user's workstation for the c:\Sage directory too. Should have full rights.

What server OS? I have seen issue where you think the permissions filtered down to all subfolders but they did not. Had to run a command prompt to force the subfolder inheritance of the top level folder. But it is odd that it runs in standalone. How about if you start it as a desktop app?

What Moira said. Check the permissions in the location where you ran Workstation Setup.
