General Consultant Discussion

Anyone else receive a call from a Sage person (it sounded like a low paid cold caller) thanking them for registering for Sage Summit and asking them to arrange a meeting with Sage personnel? I didn't register and am not planning on attending. It makes me wonder how the marketing got bad information. Maybe they need CRM?

That is awesome! You did arrange for a meeting, right? I mean, it is the least you could do.

Maybe it is the soft sell approach.

CRM may help, but I doubt it will solve the lack of communication issue (internally and externally). If Sage realized you were not on the list of attendees, they should have had someone important contact you.

I did get a call. They thought I was an end-user.

Lordy ... so pathetic.

In Dallas we have been flooded with roofing companies calling to inspect our roof due to all the hail storms(mine is fine). I tell them to take me off their list. They keep calling and the numbers they call from are never working numbers. So now I have been telling them - yes please come out and inspect. When they arrive and get their card get more info about their company - do a house walk around(waste their time) and then give them an earful and tell them not to call me again.

Taking this a step further - I wonder if there are a bunch of phantom registrations in the Sage system? It would seem rather silly to pay someone to call a name that was not registered.

Somebody on the Summit team used to work for Wells Fargo...
