Anyone else have problems getting into the new improved portal? I used to be able to get in via Google Chrome but now all I see is html code that starts with

Can't get in on IE 9 either (and I know Sage only supports certain browsers but Chrome used to work)

Didn't they post something that they were installing ""enhancements"" over the weekend?

I can access in IE8 but after selecting anything, it locks up.

I get to an error page: The browser is not supported for Design2003 the Internet Explorer as of 5.5 and the Mozilla as of 1.75 are supported. I have tried using current versions of IE, Firefox, Chrome. Looks like I may have to downgrade in order to access the site? And this probably means you will have a good chance of not being able to access the site while out with a customer unless they have the exact web browser version needed.

    It's working on my IE9.

It is woring on my IE9 as well.

It worked on Friday though we still had significant speed issues and looking up a specific customer is still a major pain in the ass! (no bleeps this time on purpose.) I am able to log in but the Knowledge search doesn't respond with results. I'm going to https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/portal/. I'm assuming this is the same place? IE 9.

That's the site I'm accessing @ShawnSlavin although i have to admit, I use the old KB site vs. the new one (I know, I know - I have to get used to it!)

You have to use IE9 in IE6 compatibility mode.

I can enter into the site but some of the UI elements seem like they're gone. Google Chrome does not seem to work now whereas I used to be able to use it previously (even though it claimed not supported). And it is funny that SAP branding is all over the web tabs now (as someone pointed out earlier)...

In IE there is a icon in the top that looks like a broken page. Click it and it should turn blue. Then refresh.

    Works with IE9 for me.

My IE9 seems to work OK

It's possible that part of my issue with IE9 is the way portal security is configured. I can generally see different pages but many of the UI elements seem wonky or I have to click to a different menu to access them.

Well they have certainly cleaned up the home page with the redesign.

I been using the Sage Log On Resources link http://na.sage.com/log-on instead of the Sage Portal logon... It looks like it goes to the same place but the Sage Portal Logon dosen't work for me . I am also getting on my home and Knowledge base find solutions page the new HTML code. I also found this while looking for something in the browse document section.

This is what I see as the opening screen on Firefox. Similar on IE as well.

At the risk jinxing my experience...like @WayneSchulz, I had better luck using unsupported Chrome before today. It looks like roughly half of my pages are unavailable through Chrome now (although I do get to the unavailable pages quickly). Like @RobertWood suggests running IE9 in compatibility mode (breaks access to other pages but is easily resolved by staying away from IE9 for all other browsing), gives me access to every page quickly. Portal Administration appears to be the lone exception (it won't load at all). KB search for Error 47 returns 433 results.

I'm on a Mac - safari - was fine before Sage worked their magic over the weekend.

@BrianRice wasn't part of the update to only give you what you were searching for by the product you selected... I think they missed that part...

The whole world of technology has just passed Sage by. Don't they read the news and realize that people are working from mobile and (shudder) non-Microsoft PC devices... I mean they even went so far as to use Silverlight on their Sage Summit Portal -- which isn't supported on any MAC Google Chrome browser or any mobile platform except for Windows Phone.....

@DianeRuth, 433 results were for Sage 100 only (47 results for Sage HRMS and 0 results for Sage 500, Sage Fixed Assets, and Sage BusinessWorks).

Looks like we're to the point where we have to recreate our own portal using Drop Box to save PDF copies of stuff.

@BrianRice Did you get your answer ??

  • 26.  RE: Anyone else have problems getting into the new imp

@DianeRuth I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just a wide range of results to check the relative speed. @WayneSchulz The fact that we are even here having this conversation is maddening. I would expect Sage prefers us to be out slinging licenses.

I spoke with Portal Support regarding Portal locking when accessing the Sage 100 ERP Knowledge Base. The problem was my IE8 Browser View was 125%. It must be 100% or you have hang/errors. I verified that IE7, IE8 and IE9 should all work on the Sage Portal.

Wow, too bad we have to worry about browser settings..............................

  • 29.  RE: Anyone else have problems getting into the new imp

I was not able to login to the portal at a client site last week. I didn't want to muck with their browser settings so I had to a Logmein session into my system at the office and login to the portal from my system. It was still flaky until I messed with my settings though. (IE9)

@BrianBuck That's my biggest beef with this system. When you are out on-site at a customer you cannot start uninstalling their existing browser (half the time that's not event possible) or updating it -- because who knows if they then breaks some app they're using which relies on that version. Wasn't the advent of browser based apps supposed to prevent this type of thing?

  • 31.  RE: Anyone else have problems getting into the new imp

    Posted 07-20-2012 06:37
Yes. Shame on SAP (and Sage) for writing (and using) a web app that doesn't use web browser standards. That is so 1990. Maybe I should fire up Windows 98 and IE 5.5 so I can use Atlas.

You could dual boot your machine.

  • 33.  RE: Anyone else have problems getting into the new imp

    Posted 07-20-2012 06:44
Yes or even better a Virtual Machine...great lengths to login to Atlas.

  • 34.  RE: Anyone else have problems getting into the new imp

    Posted 07-20-2012 06:47
I'm sure Atlas doesn't support virtual environments.

    Hahah...you are probably correct @RobertWood.
