  • 1.  Anyone dealt with Sage 100 to Sage CRM integration

    Anyone dealt with Sage 100 to Sage CRM integration where the Sage 100 customers are divisional and customers name, address, etc. repeat across divisions? For example ABC Dist. is in division 01, 02 and 03 and has same address/info/contacts in all three divisions. What are the gotchas or am I worrying about nothing. Sage Adv 2013 with CRM 7.1 sp 2

    Are you using the sage integration. If so, that is probably the biggest gotcha!!!!! Be careful.

    Yes that was the plan - I think that I'll have a big issue with contact being used in multiple customer numbers. I may just change it so only one contact exists for a customer and the other divisions will be left without a contact.

    Are these all 'separate companies' in Sage 100?

    Yes, due to divisions. Each has a unique division+customer number but the details (address, phone, contact) may be duplicated across divisions. So division 01 = service, division 02 = software ends up as 01-ABC and 02-ABC. They may sell services and software to the ""same"" company but they are divisional for GL reporting and AR.

    I don't think you have anything to worry about. As they add new customers down the road, they may get some DE duplication messages, but they can ignore that or evaluate at the time. Sounds to me like they are all different customers in the system and should be treated as such. I'd certainly test, but I think you should fine. You could work in Company Relationships from the CRM side too if that makes sense. But I'm not seeing an issue here. Good luck.

    Thanks @JohnWilder - I have considered using the company relationship tool in CRM. My biggest concern is the duplicate of the person to multiple companies especially as they want to use the Outlook Integration, I have a feeling that duplicated persons is going to cause problems.
