Anybody using Teamviewer regularly? Thoughts? Do you use free version or commercial? If free, any limitations beyond honesty policy?

I am using GotoManager for about $65/mo or so -- would be interested in your Teamviewer analysis if you do any type of internal comparison.

I have been using TeamViewer for about 18 months. I have used others, but I really like TeamViewer. I started with the free version to test, but upgraded to the commercial version. Because my business is small, I paid a one time license fee of $495. This gives me 50 hours of connect time each month. There are no annual or upgrade fees. The connection time is very fast and it does a good job with dual monitors. There have been times I have left it running in the office and connected with my iPhone. My $.02.

I'm not aware of any limitations in the free version.

Debbie, I never saw mention of a 50 hour limit on the website is that something that's always been around?

I called to see if I had an option to the $750 unlimited version and she gave me this option. It was not on their site. I thought I would be able to use the free version but as I added clients to my user list to keep track of their machine-specific ID numbers, I maxed out that list so upgraded. Some clients prefer me to keep their passwords so I can just connect without their input so it was worth to me for that option.

I used to use paid version of Croosloop and I tell you free TV is so much better I cant even compare. I will need to switch to the paid version of TV soon. I love it and so do my customers

If you think about it, TeamViewer flies in the face of ""Cloud"" momentum. Citrix Online/gotomeeting/webex are pure multitenent cloud solutions. Teamviewer is a local app (but uses their broker network to punch through firewalls) that you pay one price to 'own' and to my understanding, unlike traditional software, has no annual maintenance. When you do the math, IF ITS AS GOOD, in less than 1 year, it pays for itself vs. the constant annual Citrix fees. Thoughts?

@DebbieBeach Do you use the built in conference call service? Is there a fee per minute? Do you get charged that fee per minute for all attendees?

I have not used that feature.
