Anybody running MAS on Small Business Server 2011?

Not yet, but I think SBS is not the whole issue. What's the hardware - Driver system, CPU and RAM?. Many SBS servers are hardware challenged and that's a larger issue when running SBS and MAS. I won't run MAS 200 on a SBS.

This is a brand new quad core honking server, so that won't be the problem in this case.

A quad core server - that's doesn't mean very much today. Dual quad cores above 2.2 GHz with 16 GB RAM, 15k SAS drives - perhaps a SSD mirrored system drive. Only Server 2008 and Exchange - No SQL. Up to 15 user MAS 90.

From their IT company: It will run dual Xeon processors, about 12GB of Ram. We'll be doing a RAID5 array with about a terabyte or so worth of drive space. Also looking to run Windows Small Business Server 2011 on it and I'm wondering if there are any issues with running that. It's a 64 bit operating system. Not sure if that will cause a problem or not. If you have any questions, let me know.

I'm supporting SBS and 64 OS bit versions of Windows Server. Not having many issues related to the OS (except for setup of Paperless on the 64 bit workstations). Even the domain controller is less of an issue these days. The biggest issues are the drives (no SATA) and if using Exchange and hosting email, what is being done with spam. I require a spam filter that is not running on the SBS computer. Running Barracudas at many clients. It takes a huge load off Exchange.

If they are political, there is ""political fun"", i think rants is fine for all others. If we 'over group"" it will take too long to figure out where to post.
