Anybody have a client using Connectwise (http://www.connectwise.com/) interfaced with MAS?

I have one for whom I created a VI import to SO (they're on 4.05).

Looking at their website, they claim integration capabilities but I don't see much substance there.

We have a current customer who is just implementing Connectwise and I looked at the integration piece - pretty lame IMHO. I think I will be doing an import like @MarkKotyla mentioned.

@ThereseLogeais That's the ""integration"" they claimed 4 years ago. Ended up sending me a couple AR imports some poor sap slapped together. AR!

This is for a local HW service support company. They recently committed to Connectwise (sorry Peter) but are looking at upgrading their MS Small Business Accounting to Great Pains Dynamics. Since they have asked me for some accounting consulting assistance, I would like to steer them to MAS (makes my consulting job easier).

Does anyone know if the GP Dynamics integration is any better?

My customer is starting a network support division and will be using it for support tickets, etc. (And was that a typo or intentional - ""Great PAINS Dynamics""?)

If I remember correctly, it simply allows you to input GL numbers but I could be mistaken. I'm not sure what it does with them - export an GL entry? My customer was trying to show me but he didn't have a clue. I just remember seeing an Accounting Integration dropdown with MAS, GP and maybe others. Once we selected MAS, it allowed for the entry of account numbers, similar to product line maintenance if memory serves me.

I think the GL accounts are for revenue (so you don't have to create misc item codes for various services).

We have used ConnectWise inhouse for about two years. Reminds me a bit of Atlas. Actually, the other way around. Integration with MAS 200 was done in house using BOI.

John, I'll call next week to discuss.
