General Consultant Discussion

Anybody else getting a flurry of calls, mail, email from xTuple? I seem to have suddenly been slammed. Any experiences with this product out there?

I have been working with it for a couple of years. Kind of the reverse of MAS - good at manufacturing/distribution, a little weak at accounting, actually adding developers and fix bugs promptly. Call me later if you want to discuss details.

I've had several emails too from xTuple and calls as well. Seems they're advertising as the Sage alternative.

Wow @PhilMcIntosh you are always on it. Is it worth me signing up for the product tour they've offered? @MoiraGoggin yes, they definitely are posting xTuple as the Sage alternative. Are you going to check it out?

They've recently created a demo account for me (cloud version). I just have to find time to work with it.

@DebThomas - since its specialty is manufacturing, you probably should check it out

Many of the xTuple consultants are current or former Sage Pro people - since xTuple is open source it appeals to those who always had complete source code.

I'm getting the e-mails and invites as well. They must have gotten a list!

So was Sage Pro the old BusinessWorks @PhilMcIntosh ? I've gotten lost with all the name changes. I'll sign up and see what it has to offer. @MarkKotyla will be interested in your take once you have time to play. :)

Sage Pro was Accpac Pro which was (I think) SBT. The Pro in the name came from Foxpro, which is what it was written in.

I'm on round 2 of Service Pro calls. Bless those who have time to set through a 1 hour demo which is 48 minutes of powerpoint, 10 minutes of ""why doesn't this $%^^^&"" connection work and 2 minutes of demo....
