Any way to work around the Sage CRM restriction that S/O has to be installed in order to use CRM integration?

I don't think so because of the way it's architected. After it's all installed, you can hide the integration by creating a custom Quote / Order screen. I doubt that's helpful.

That's what I was afraid of. I have a customer who could really use the 1 license, but only if it's integrated with A/R. <grumble>

It would be great to see an option to decide the integration points upon install.

So what about Greytrix Crmlink. @PeterWolf what is your take on it?

Personally I don't recommend it. It's a great product and serves specific needs but it complicates both the sales process and the implementation. I know a lot of people that recommend it so ymmv.

@AaronClark Greytrix may be worth a look

Thanks for the information. Anyone know a rough price on the Greytrix integration?

I've asked this question directly from Sage and was told SO must be installed.

@alanniergarth - that is true - if you are using the Sage out of the box integration. Is it still true if you use the Greytrix integration?

Hate to resurrect a dead topic -- what if I installed Sales Order as a trial, configured CRM to sync with Sage 100 (formerly MAS90/200), and just let Sales Order die? They aren't in the mood to spend any (more) money apparently.

Well Aaron did you try it, installing SO trial version? Please let us know if it worked.

The thing to test is will it die once the trial period has expired for SO.

@PhilMcIntosh - that's based on number of accesses or date I forget which on this version? if it's number of accesses just cycle thorugh them if it's date, change the system date and test.

Isn't v4.x about 30 days or so now? Also, did they ever fix it so you could install the keys and actually unlock it now after the trial period expired? This was an issue for the longest time.

@JeffSchwenk I don't know about the unlock keys, I remember seeing something about it but don't know if it has been resolved.
