any news on SmartLinc? i see no press releases or any mention of Sage on their website. they announced a partnership with OSAS (Open Systems). Now that is a blast from the past. Open Systems preceeds MAS90.

I received an email from Smartlinc announcing that they were all ready to go. They asked if they could do another demo through us. I asked if we could record it. Haven't heard a peep since.

they were featured pretty prominently in the Sage road ahead document. Sage seemed to allude that it was coming out for 4.5 and not necessarily someting that had to wait for 5.0.

I watched the live webcast on Tuesday. Nothing new except maybe pricing. I do know the part numbers are finally setup in Atlas so Sage CAN sell it now!

suitable replacement for StarShip? That is the product we have continued to sell.

As I remember the cost was about 50% more than Starship -- maybe way more for larger customers. The benefit was everything ran in the cloud - whereas with V-Tech you need to interact with them during upgrades. My guess is that most customers will sit tight unless there is an exact feature they are looking for that SL has.

I did ask if they had a comparison document to Starship and they are developing one but don't have it done yet. Also, Smartlinc will be available for Sage 500, but RKL is developing the interface and that's not done yet. The basic pricing: Gold --> Small parcel $4995 Platinum --> Small parcel and LTL $9995
