    Is anyone Interested in playing golf on Thursday May 12 in CA?  I am planning on going out in the morning, probably early if possible. 

    There are two public courses within a reasonable distance of Newport Beach, Pelican Hill and Strawberry Farms.  I plan to try and make a tee time this Friday morning at one of these two course.  Pelican Hill is 4 miles from the hotel, and cost about $350 to play.  Strawberry Farms is about 7 miles from the hotel and costs about $125 to play.  Pelican Hill has ocean views, Strawberry Farms is inland (in Irvine), thus a big price difference.

    @Gary Feldman  Not that I know of, but that would be great if there are.  @Anne Sawyer  Do you have a contact at the hotel you can ask if there are any discounted tee times at nearby golf courses.  It would be great if they can get us a deal at Pelican Hill and/or Strawberry Farms.

    I am planning to bring my clubs.  My game is definitely not worthy of a $350 course.   This will be my first round in years, but plan on getting back into the game this year!
