Any ideas on how to prevent PR employee names from carrying over from Payroll to Bank Rec? It's a 4.50 MAS 200 / Sage 100 Advanced system.

Yikes. Turn off the Bank Rec integration and use VI to get the info in there?

Somehow, I don't think that will work for me.

You're screwed. Wait - if payroll is a different bank code, you could use some BOI to keep anyone who is not authorized from doing the Bank Rec for that code...

You might be able to move the employee name to the first address line, then use a code in the FNmae, LName fields. Change the form to pick up the name from the address field. Then the only ""name"" posting to the payee field in BR would be a code from the std. name fields.

    Doesn't that cause a problem for W2 printing, @MoiraGoggin ?

Yes and no, when you need to print W-2s you can temporarily switch the info with a VI job. You run W-2s less often then checks.

There is an enhancement for security by bank code in Bank Rec. http://www.dsdinc.com/enhancement/bank-reconciliation-security-bank-code-2/

I've modified the Crystal report to not print the name. Would that work. Why not have the person doing PR do the BR?

The person doing PR has the authority to decide they don't want to do BR. Here's what I've done. I setup a VI export that exports all of the PR transactions from BR and VI import that pulls them back in. The VI import updates the Reference and PayeeName to be 'PAYROLL'.
