Any ideas for a client using Job Cost who would like to stage materials (well, who DOES stage materials) but needs to be able to see in the computer this staging? Is multibin the only option? Or multi-warehouse, I guess. Anything else?

1. By staging - do you mean also reserving for a job / committed? 2. Do you just need to know where the ordered materials are? Separate warehouse and/or put them on a sales order would be my first thoughts.

MOSTLY knowing where they are. I'm liking the warehouse idea, which I didn't think of until I wrote my original question. Good grief, now I'm Ann Landers-ing myself.

If you put it into a warehouse, i.e. Receipt of Goods/Invoice without JC coding, it doesn't hit Job Cost until you Issue it out.
