Any idea why on a MAS200 4.4 server when I go into DFDM the files would all show as in use when I try to edit them. I was able to get at them running in non-MAS200 mode. I had just rebooted too.

Maybe this ""File xxx not found"" when selecting files in Data File Display and Maintenance (DFDM) for Sage MAS 200 Entry Type: Informational Product: Sage MAS 200 ERP Application: Library Master Version Reported: 4.0 Subject: ""File xxx not found"" when selecting files in Data File Display and Maintenance (DFDM) for Sage MAS 200 (xxx = path and filename). Possible Resolution: A mapped drive is used as the ODBC path instead of the UNC. Change the mapped drive to a UNC path, using either of the following procedures: Run Sage MAS 200 Workstation Setup again and enter the UNC path for ODBC access. Edit Sota.ini in the workstation's local ..\Mas90\Launcher\servers folder. Under the Servers section, change the mapped drive to the UNC path.

This is because the user running the MAS200 service does not have full permissions - I've run into this with a couple of clients.

@JaneScanlan Thanks - that was exactly what I told the IT Administrator and they assured me that could not be the case and it was due to some caching problem...

... you could always prove him wrong by having him use the Admin login in the MAS200 service ... :)

Anticipated Reply: This is an administrator account. Key Learning: Most IT folks don't really understand much of technology and what they know is how to configure and setup Microsoft Office with the most highly restricted security rights and expect all other applications are setup identically --- or those apps are garbage.

I was working with a client yesterday that had so much security set up that trying to get Paperless Office for journals/registers going (that should be a snap!) didn't happen.

This problem with IT is my # 1 headache. You literally have situations where you have no choice but to walk away and let the user go to another VAR.
