Any experiencing general slowness (going into screens, printing) on Sage 100 2018 Advanced? We have seen it specifically with remote users and have heard it could be due to Sage 100 2018 being more intertwined with Windows. @Sage100UrgentSupportNeeded @Sage100UrgentSupportNeeded

What remote product, TS, Citrix, something else?

Not specifically. Customers often complain that things are a little slower but I can't say that people have loudly complained overall about a perceived slowdown in 2018. AV/Malware is a big culprit in many instances.

Nice to start getting some opinions - one of our consultants has noticed it herself, stating that 2017 screens (SO Order for example) and/or below might take 5-7 seconds to load and now 2018 takes 10 -15 seconds to load. I have personally not noticed it. the ones she has noticed on are either TS remote desktop or Azure.

I have had 2 clients complain of slowness with 2018. One is running 2018 Advanced in a data center - server with the RD server in the same data center. Sage is fast running on the server. Clients get a published app and it can take 10 to 15 seconds to load screens, and printing is slow. I have tried the 'spawn from server' and 'slow connection' settings in user maintenance that may have made it a tiny bit faster. NO antivirus on the server or RD server at this time for troubleshooting according to IT. I ask them to make exclusions - they uninstall it! Second client is 2018 standard and reporting slowness in payroll only. It's again not slow on the server, but just on her workstation in payroll, AP not affected. Their IT has uninstalled all antivirus on server and workstation and still slow. Called Sage and they said it was 'something environmental', no one has reported any slowness with payroll 2018. So zero help there. I threw it back on their IT last week saying I had no more ideas. I encourage anyone experiencing slowing with 2018 payroll to call Sage and make a case so they can look in to it.

I don't have any specific answers to contribute, but we happen to have a 2018 Advanced PU4 running in our Demo environment, specifically in RDS technology using published RemoteApp, So I did a quick screencast for the speeds we see in our case.. at least for comparative reference. p.s: We do run A/V, but have exclusions for Sage locations. https://www.screencast.com/t/ICXW0JYqjdW Cheers,

@GeorgeKhairallah is your server in house or in the cloud?

@GeorgeKhairallah thank you very much! Clearly Sage 2018 isn't slower so it must be their infrastructure. Now to convince the IT folks...
