Any experience, recommendations or volunteers on converting GL data from an AS 400 package into Sage 100?

I can probably help do it. Give me a shout...

If you can get data dumps from AS 400 (e.g., ascii, .xls), then it should be pretty straight forward to import into Sage 100 via VI.

@RichardBryant - Richard recently did it for a large customer. Hopefully he isn't too busy to chime in (and hopefully now guilted into it!)

Most installations have graphical terminal emulation software on PC's that also allow you to download AS/400 data to formats, such as .csv, Excel, etc. If they have that, the customer probably has been doing that in their normal operations.

Not volunteering but echo the above. I've done this by redirecting the print to ASCII then used Monarch to strip out the fields. Was actually pretty easy once I figured out how to redirect the spooling, etc.

Yes, if you don't have built in utilities, Monarch works great.

Monarch is now part of a product called Datawatch (www.datawatch.com).

    +1 on using Monarch.
