Any Act! experts in the house? I'm wondering if there is a way to access the database through a data management tool like MS SQL Server's?

Have not tested any of this, but several methods mentioned in this link: http://serverfault.com/questions/77712/sqlserver-need-to-access-an-act-database-for-data-migration One of which is to pay Sage extra to get them to unlock it (ie CryptoLocker By Sage)

Thanks Phil. I saw this but the info is a bit old considering Sage doesn't even own Act! yet. I was wondering if anyone in the group has some hands-on experience with this?

My SQL guy pointed me here... Hi if its act premium, read about using the act reader from this KB http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22989/~/how-to-create-an-odbc-connection-for-use-with-the-act!-reader-utility then use your normal sql management studio with the credentials you supply when setting up the reader that supposedly works. Once you are connected, use these tools for the datadictionary stuff http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22924/kw/act%20data%20dictionary

Thanks John. I had heard about Act Reader and this link seems like what I was looking for. I'll give it a tumble.
