Just got off the phone minutes ago with a client with this issue 4.40.0.4. You can even look at the date in Invoice Data Entry and see that the format is funky!

I know! And this was a hand entered invoice, not imported. Why is it accepting invalid dates?? Or is it somehow getting corrupt from something else??

I just had one in Manual Check Entry yesterday. Invoice Data Entry two weeks ago. Sales Order Entry a month ago. Seems like some subroutine that verifies dates doesn't do much work any more.

And the error is so cryptic, nothing about an invalid date. Customer asked me if was due to vendor number 9. ""No, that's just to throw you off track from what the real issue is, an invalid date.

No. 9, No. 9, No. 9... and now I'm thinking of Charles Manson.

Somehow, I've had a couple of customers enter dates as _9/03/12 (but replace the underscores with spaces) instead of 09/03/12 and get into the system. All of the ones I have had have all been manually entered invoices. Edited because I had _9/_3/12 instead of _9/03/12.

And apparently it will still let them get through in 4.50.

And it's when they enter the date _9/03/12 that the issue occurs.

It still pops occasionally. Seems to be more of an issue in 4.4 as I don't recall the issues in v4.5 Can you test 2013 and let us know. That way I can adjust my beta survey accordingly.

I can't duplicate it in 4.40.3.

That was in 4.50.4.0.

Just had another customer with this issue. She had two AP invoices with incorrect dates. Sage 100 4.40.7 I believe.

What was the date on the invoices?

1/11/1501 was one and the other one was something odd but I can't remember it exactly.

So ""_1/11/1501"" and I could duplicate it where _ is a space.

I'm thinking she wanted 11/15 but I don't know how she keys dates - does she enter MMDD or M/D/Y? Who knows, but I can see where spaces would mess it up. In any event, it should not accept it IMO.

I agree. It's the only pattern I've found to it.
