And one of my customers. Apparently the person who did the HRMS email fiasco has been moved to Sage 50

@JeffSchwenk send this to your RSM and see what she has to say. I'm sure she can fully explain it.

Just called Sales to get a quote. The person I talked to made me feel like they were doing me a favor for taking my call. How dare I ask for a quote ??? Couldn't wait to get off the call with me. Good Times Ahead !!

10 days into the new year and getting terminated is not a positive career move.

I e-mailed my RSM and Rob Larsh telling them an e-mail needs to be sent out today as soon as possible, not like the HRMS cert e-mail which was DAYS later.

I just received this email in my in-box. Must be from a scammer.... they used the word intelligence in their title.

Sage Intelligence... in some contexts that would be considered redundant, but recently I'm seeing it as more like an oxymoron.

I notice the apology e-mail came out as quickly as the last time. Didn't receive it - must be in Junk folder where the first e-mail should have been.

I got it. I'm not clear if it went to Sage 100 clients or Sage 50 clients since I'm both (in the NFR sense).

I'm not and I got one in my VAR email from DSD - makes me think all CC probably got one. I was out at a customer site yesterday and they got one. Taking multiple incoming emails/calls today about the bogus email. I think it was a widespread screwup - #2 for Sage.

The email just arrived for me as well. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to reinforce with my users that they should generally ignore all Sage mailings and we will keep them posted on important issues.

Sage Business Builder""? Is this also the e-mail that was sent to customers?

@JohnHoyt My SAGE 100 customer received the ""Sage Business Builder"" apology.

So did mine . So sad !

It is clear there is no one leading - overall and in specific functions.

  • 23.  RE: And the MIGHTY Sage Marketing juggernaut strikes a

    Posted 01-11-2017 13:41
Are you kidding me? How and why is Sage acting like this? Y'know at least years ago when their products didn't include the word ""Sage"", the products couldn't be easily associated with Sage [Software]. Now it's just the opposite, which doesn't bode well when they keep doing stuff like this and making poor company decisions.

This is what happens when a company is led by marketing types. They don't know how to structure internal business processes, since their entire focus is on image. No jr staffer / newbie should have access to the mailing lists without having their idea go through a proper review by someone with a head on their shoulders.

Actually, this is what happens when a company has no leadership. The band's still playing, the crew jumped ship.

And no one wants to talk about the fire in the coal bunker....

  • 27.  RE: And the MIGHTY Sage Marketing juggernaut strikes a

    Posted 01-11-2017 17:00
I have good one....Since I am not getting commissions for S&M...I will not spend a minute talking to customers that don't want to go thru it. Sage guy called directly and sent the customer the quotation with the customer's price AND partners cost. Now the customer thinks I am profiting and am avoiding talking to them....GREAT...Now I won't get any commissions NOR support calls from the customer !!!!!

  • 28.  RE: And the MIGHTY Sage Marketing juggernaut strikes a

    Posted 01-12-2017 04:16
It's nice that customers think you should be a non-profit organization. BTW, I won't pick up the phone for someone not on support unless they pay for a support case via credit card link. I have a boilerplate email that I copy/paste. A surprising number will take the offer but it's usually people who are moving off Sage and incorrectly guessed that they would migrate away faster than they have.

  • 29.  RE: And the MIGHTY Sage Marketing juggernaut strikes a

    Posted 01-12-2017 05:47
The apology email mentions nothing about the content of the original email. Just that ""you received it in error"". If I were an end user, I do not know if 1) the info was correct, but not intended for my eyes or 2) incorrect or 3) rubbish (that is the British term for garbage, right?)

I don't believe that Sage UK has any idea of what goes on in NA in terms of all the issues we see.
